Worked in wool needlepoint on canvas with stylized carnations in pink, blue, yellow, and green on a brown ground; lined in green wool. On the interior, "Silas Swallow. 1785" worked in white silk on midnight teal blue silk in chainstitch; American, likely New Hampshire.
